O'Neal made a guest appearance on the Mike Siegel Show at
KIRO in Seattle. The hour-long discussion moved
quickly and touched such diverse subjects as violence in
America, O'Neal's Vietnam War experience and how that
affected his novels and their characters, plus the
growing interest for films to be made from his
trilogy.

2000. Producer Ralph
Riskin has acquired the film rights to David O'Neal's
"The Dying Game" trilogy from Pacific Coast Press in a
low-six-figure deal. Nabbed are suspense-thrillers
"What Goes Around", "The Pact With Bruno" and "Choosing
To Kill". Riskin plans to film the three stories
under his Rebecca Inc.
banner.

Ralph Riskin, best
known for producing the cult classic TV series,
The Dukes of
Hazard, has
acquired the film rights to David O'Neal's
The Dying
Game trilogy
from Pacific Coast Press.
The
three O'Neal novels Riskin acquired in the low six-figure deal
were What Goes
Around,
The Pact With
Bruno and the
recently released Choosing to Kill. All three of the suspense-thrillers
revolve around O'Neal's fictional character Doug
Carlson.
Riskin plans to film the three stories under
his Rebecca, Inc. banner with the initial film
What Goes
Around to launch
the trilogy

novel of betrayal, denial and
renewal, the 4th
novel in the Doug Carlson Series is expected to be
released in the fall.
